Beaming bride Edwina Bartholomew proves she has no bad blood with Sam Armytage

If a feud did, or still does exist between Sam Armytage and Edwina Bartholomew, the pair should consider shifting from journalism, to acting.

Because there was absolutely no sign of the Sunrise colleagues’ rumoured ‘rift’ at the latter’s lavish Warramba farmstead wedding to Neil Varcoe on Saturday.

Sam, 41,  and Edwina, 34, looked like best mates in Instagram snaps from the event, seen letting their hair down and bonding over a drink or two.

Sam captioned one of the images ‘Yay for Eddy!!!!!’

It showed Sam in centre frame, posing for an Ellen-DeGeneres-style group selfie, with Edwina behind her, raising up a cocktail.

Also making an appearance in the snap was  Sunrise news presenter Natalie Barr, 50, and the Channel Seven show’s Executive Producer Michael Pell, 35.

Later, Sam uploaded an image of just herself and Edwina, cheek-to-cheek and looking to be having a blast.

‘Introducing; Mrs Varcoe!!!’ she wrote in the caption.

On Saturday, the beaming bride stunned in an ornate white gown restored by Cappellazzo couture which featured lace detail.

Sam and Neil tied the knot around midday at their rural property in the Capertee Valley, which sits between Lithgow and Mudgee, located north-west of Sydney.

Last September, rumours surfaced of on-set tensions between Edwina and Sam, after Sam called her colleague ‘smug’ during a segment on dating.

Discussing a contestant on dating show First Dates, Edwina joked to single Sam: ‘I think Jake could be a manual driver, which I know could be one of your prerequisites?’

‘All right, thanks Eddie. God, you’ve already become a smug marry, trying to matchmake,’ Sam replied.

‘You just worry about your own wedding.’

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia about her wedding plans shortly after the apparent on-air spat, Edwina confirmed there was absolutely no tension between them.

Regarding Sam’s attendance at her wedding, she replied:  ‘She absolutely will be there lighting up the dance floor. We are great mates!’

The pair well and truly proved that fact on Saturday, although evidence of Sam’s ability to ‘light up the dance floor’ has yet to surface.
