The bond between mother and cub is evident as they playfully embrace on the banks of an icy river.

One of them successfully catches a fish and provides a meal for the hungry family. The stunning photographs were captured in the Kamchatka region by Roie Galitz. He said: ‘The bears enjoy hugging each other – they are very affectionate.
‘But cubs sometimes cry if they don’t get the best part of the salmon. It’s amazing.’
