Bear cub wrestles inflatable flamingo pool toy

Footage captured by a California family shows a bear cub wrestling with their inflatable flamingo pool toy in their backyard.

The Liang family took the video from behind the safety of a glass door in their Arcadia home.

Mama bear supervises her cub nearby, appearing to be exasperated ‘like you might be if your kid was in a toy store,’ dad Eric Lang told ABC News.

But the family says this isn’t the first time they’ve gotten a friendly visit from the mom and cub duo.

In April, the pair took a dip in the Liang’s pool. They also caught that moment on camera.

The baby cub appears to have gotten much bigger in the past five months.

In the video from April, the cub is much smaller and more cautious as it peers over the edge of the pool.

Now, it’s a full-fledged wrestler as it springs on the pool toy and bites its head, surprisingly remaining inflated.

The cub has gotten a lot bigger and braver since April. It went from peering over the edge of the pool to tackling a pool toy!

Daughter Kylie Liang, 6, said  ‘When the bear was wrestling it I tried to say, ”Bang on the window to get those bears away!” But then my dad said, ‘Ah, no. I think it’s too late,”’

Kylie’s older brother Riley, 8, said, ‘I’ve never seen a baby bear wrestle a flamingo. I was kind of surprised to see it do that.’

But dad said that family had a great time watching the whole ordeal. The cub dragged the toy around deeper into the backyard and kept playing with it before eventually wandering off.
