Beatrice Borromeo could be pregnant with second baby

Monaco could be about to hear the pitter-patter of more tiny feet, if reports by an Italian magazine are true.

Gossip publication Chi is claiming that Grace Kelly’s grandson, Pierre Casiraghi, 30, and his wife Beatrice Borromeo, 32, are expecting their second child, just eleven months after the birth of their first son Stefano.

The couple spent the Christmas period in glitzy Swiss skiing enclave St Moritz with baby Stefano Ercole Carlo, who is thought to have been named after Pierre’s father Stefano, who was killed in 1990 in a boat accident.

Beatrice and Pierre, son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, tied the knot in the summer of 2015 on the Borromeo islands, around Lake Maggiore in Italy, which are owned by the style icon’s family.

Shortly after her wedding, writer and journalist Beatrice revealed her desire to have a family with the handsome businessman.

She told Glamour magazine: ‘I come from a big family, and I want children of my own’ before saying that she also wanted to keep her own career on track.

There is endless fascination among Europe’s magazines around the stylish couple, who lead a jet-setting lifestyle.

Beatrice met her royal husband at Milan’s Bocconi University in May 2008, where Pierre was studying international business and she was studying law.

While attending school, Beatrice joined a news television show at the age of 19, and went on to work in radio, also reporting news.

The hard-hitting journalist covered former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, among other topics.

She even found that her good looks — besides helping to land her a royal — also scored good scoops as a reporter.

Pierre’s grandmother, Grace Kelly, died following a car accident in 1982. In addition to Albert and Caroline, she had a third child, Princess Stéphanie, Countess of Polignac.

Pierre also has three sibling: Andrea Casiraghi, 32, who has two children named Alexandre Andrea Stefano Casiraghi and India Casiraghi; Charlotte Casiraghi, 30, who has a son named Raphaël Elmaleh; and Princess Alexandra of Hanover, 17.
