Beauty and the Geek star Josie Werner has debuted her new relationship on Instagram, just weeks after the show’s finale aired.

On Thursday, the 21-year-old shared a picture cuddled up to her new beau Tom Hogan, captioned: ‘Head whiskey distiller plus Tom,’ alongside a love-heart emoji.

The news was met with positive comments from fans – including her former flame and on-screen geek George Goldfeder, who sweetly shared how happy he was for Josie in the comments section.

‘Amazing pair! So happy for you guys!’ he wrote alongside two flame emojis, to which she responded: ‘Thankyou George’.

Tom is the co-founder of 100 per cent vegan hard seltzer company Port and Pier. He debuted their relationship with Josie on the same day, sharing a number of images of her with the caption: ‘Hasn’t been that bad so far’.

Meanwhile, George and Josie confirmed they had ended their short-lived romance at the end of August, after they were inundated with questions from fans.

The pair were one of the strongest couples in the competition, reaching the finals and sparking up a hot and heavy romance during filming.

But in a lengthy Instagram post, the 27-year-old online gamer said that while their chemistry was ‘incredible and real’, they had since gone their separate ways.

Melbourne-based George explained how long distance with Josie, 21, who lives in Sydney, and ‘complexities of a pandemic’ made things a far from ‘ideal situation’.

George shared photos of the pair from their time on the show alongside an honest and open caption which read: ‘A while ago I was extremely lucky to have met this beautiful, intelligent and kind-hearted woman.

‘We went through some absolutely insane experiences together and I can’t deny that the chemistry and sparks we felt between each other was incredible and real.’

After being approached by many fans, George decided to come clean on their relationship status, revealing why their romance failed to go the distance.

‘Long distance is incredibly difficult at the best of times, throw in the huge obstacles and complexities of a global pandemic and you have a far from ideal situation,’ he said. 

‘We are both happy and in a great place as friends and I still feel such a fierce connection to you, Josie.’

George praised Josie for helping him to find himself again, and said she deserves to be happy.

Josie also announced their split on her Instagram page, saying they will always be ‘extremely close’.

‘We talk most days and have had each other’s backs from day one and this is something that will always remain,’ the blonde beauty wrote in the heartfelt caption.
