Beauty blogger, 26, claims using SEMEN as face cream is the secret to glowing skin

A beauty blogger has claimed she saves money on expensive cosmetics by using a friend’s semen as face cream – keeping it in her fridge.

Kelly Zolanski, 26, from New York, was first inspired to use the bodily fluid after seeing a video online about how much ‘nutrients and protein’ sperm contains, and decided to give it a go for an all-natural glow.

The singleton coyly texted a friend and asked if he would be her supplier before sheepishly welcoming him into her home where he made a deposit into a tub in her bathroom.

Kelly mixes the gloopy natural product with moisturiser for a smoother application, conceding it goes ‘flakey’ as it dries and that it could be ‘hard to keep up the supply’ if you’re single.

In a clip, Kelly can be seen tapping the translucent cream onto her skin and commenting on its ‘illuminating’ effects, before noting it ‘smells weird but it’s good’.

Kelly’s video has now racked up more than 3.3million views on TikTok, with more than 299,300 likes and 11,800 comments.

‘It’s a cheap, homemade alternative to expensive brands,’ she explained.

‘I keep it in a jar in the fridge. I live alone so no one will need to see it when they’re making breakfast.

‘I came across a video on TikTok of this girl explaining how much nutrients and protein [semen] has in it and that some people use it for facials.

‘I’m single at the moment and called one of my friends. I called him on FaceTime and asked if he could give me some of his semen.

‘He was like “what are you doing with it?” I told him what I was going to do and he said I was crazy.

Is semen the secret to glowing skin?

Human sperm is a powerful anti-oxidant that is said to diminish wrinkles and smooth the skin.

The substance is now even sold by a Norwegian company called Bioforskning and spermine facials are offered in New York.

Cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Oscar Hevia told HollywoodLife.com that there’s some truth in this bizarre beauty tip.

‘Semen contains proteolytic enzymes, which are designed to break down proteins. In theory, if applied to the skin, these enzymes could help to break down the uneven and thickened dead layer of older, sun-damaged skin. This could make the skin feel smoother.

‘However, this might only be achieved with daily application for days or weeks. It would also not be practical as a “mask,” since it is a body fluid and will not remain stable outside the body. It would lose its beneficial effect, if any, very quickly after application.’

‘He laughed when I asked for it and when he gave it to me he said I was crazy and laughed again.

‘He came over and used my bathroom I gave him a jar to put it in.

‘I put it on my face, let it dry then washed it off. I mixed it with moisturiser because it had a weird smell. He’s not the healthiest person.’

After Kelly posted her video on TikTok she went viral overnight, with her brother spotting the clip in a work WhatsApp group chat.

It wasn’t just her brother who spotted her unusual beauty regime, as her mum ‘died laughing’ watching the clip online.

Kelly said: ‘Everybody knows I’m kind of a crazy person so me asking for that isn’t really a surprise.

‘The semen has so many nutrients in it. I didn’t really see that much of a difference in my skin because I use skin care products on the regular, but I still wanted to try it.

‘When it dried, it was a bit flaky, the cream I mixed it with helped so it wasn’t too bad.

‘When I posted it on TikTok, I posted it late at night. The next day my brother sent me a screenshot of my face and said ‘somebody just sent this to the group chat I’m in for work’.

‘His friends don’t know me and in the group chat he said “that’s my sister”.

‘I sent it to my mum and she was dying laughing.

‘I called my friend and said “listen, I might need some more”. There wasn’t that much but when I mixed it with the stuff, there was enough for two days.’

Now Kelly is cautiously recommending the product to brighten skin – but fears it could cause a ‘bad reaction’ for some.

Kelly said: ‘I’m not encouraging it in case people are allergic to it. Some people might have a breakdown or bad reaction.

‘I normally use more luxury brand stuff.

‘If you’re single, it could be hard to keep up the supply.’
