Madina begins the step-by-step tutorial video by placing a dollop of ‘3D white toothpaste’ into a cup.

She then adds a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda, an ingredient commonly used in the baking of cakes and breads, to the toothpaste.

Patience: She then left the strips on her teeth for a total of 20 minutes

The beauty mogul mixes the two ingredients together in the bowl until they have formed into a smooth consistency.

She then takes two strips of aluminium foil and smooths the mixture onto each one.

After spreading the mixture on each of the foil strips using a small spatula, Madina places a strip along her bottom and top teeth.

She then leaves the strips in place for 20 minutes, which she recommends as the ideal amount of time for the strips to work.

Captioning the quick DIY clip, Madina said that she regularly uses the quick trick before going out on a date night.

She said the trick helps to ‘vamp up’ her teeth.

Since Madina shared the video with her 670,000 followers on Instagram it has received over 500,000 views.

Many fellow social media users were impressed with Madina’s handy trick, with dozens revealing they can’t wait to try it out themselves.

‘Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing,’ added another impressed user.

Meanwhile a separate fan praised Madina, who regularly shares different DIY tutorials and beauty-related ideas, for her vast array of savvy hacks.

They wrote: ‘You always have great tip.’

However, some were not so impressed with the teeth whitening tip in fear it would set their fillings alight or damage enamel.

One Instagram user warned: ‘Tin foil should not be put in your mouth.

‘If you have fillings, especially the old kind, it will shock you,’ they added.

Another user said: ‘I got chills watching the aluminum go on your teeth.’

Similarly, another commented: ‘It’s pretty effective in whitening BUT baking soda helps erode the enamel and you have tooth breakage and cavities just as fast.’

Madina’s post inspired others to share their top tips for whitening teeth, with one insisting coconut oil works wonders on improving discolored teeth and bad breath.

The Instagram user said: ‘Just use coconut oil not only does it whiten your teeth it helps with bad breath and other things.’
