Russell Tovey has confirmed his engagement to former Kings Cross Steelers rugby player, Steve Brockman.
Speaking to MailOnline on Monday night, the British actor, 36, revealed: ‘Completely unexpected but very very happy and looking forward to having a proper party to celebrate when back in London.’
Steve moved to New York to be with Russell in 2017, while the British actor starred in National Theatre show Angels In America, alongside Andrew Garfield.

The duo now live together in New York, and it’s believed that Steve has changed professions to be a rugby coach, after following his other half to the city where he was acting.
According to The Sun, the Being Human actor, 36, was ‘over the moon’ to be sharing his happy news on social media this weekend.
A source told the newspaper that the couple were ‘getting series’ in July 2017 when a friend claimed: ‘Russell has never flaunted his romances but behind closed doors he is infatuated.’
Russell – who previously called his cute dog ‘his sun and his moon’ – regularly posts pictures with the rugby hunk on Instagram.

The British star first hinted at a romance ‘inside the industry’ in November 2016, when he told the London’sEvening Standard about his ‘early days’ relationship.
Sharing his stance on marriage, he confirmed: ‘Totally, 100 per cent I will do it, when the time is right,’ and on children he added, ‘Yeah, all of it.’
He went on to say: ‘But I’ve got my dog at the minute — he’s my everything, my sun and my moon and my mate.’

Russell came out when he was 18 but didn’t begin to take on homosexual acting roles until he was aged 30 – a decision which he said ‘made his career’.
‘It wasn’t a conscious decision,’ he told The Guardian in 2017. ‘And it was only the other day that I realised it had been important somehow.
‘For so long, as a young actor, I had this anxiety about making sure I could get straight roles, and now I know that’s not necessary. The gay roles are the best for me. Being gay has made my career.’

Having moved Stateside, Russell is currently enjoying a role in cop drama Quantico, alongside actress Priyanka Chopra, 35.
The duo were last seen filming for the ABC show in New York in November when Russell celebrated his 36th birthday on set.
Hollywood star Priyanka plays FBI-turned-CIA-agent, Alex Parrish, while Russell plays former MI-6 agent Harry Doyle.
The British television star is best known for roles on Being Human, as well as Him & Her and a smaller part in beloved comedy Gavin & Stacey.
