Queen: Beyoncé has launched whisky brand SirDavis with Moet Hennessy
Beyoncé has launched an American whisky with Moet Hennessy.
The superstar – who is a whisky enthusiast – is teaming up with the drinks giant to make SirDavis.
The tipple is named in honour of Davis Hogue, Beyonce’s paternal great-grandfather, farmer and a moonshiner in the American south during Prohibition.
‘I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,’ the singer (whose most recent album was Cowboy Carter, pictured) said.
SirDavis will be available next month and cost £79 a bottle.
Several other high-profile firms, however, have felt the sting of recent celebrity partnerships.
Adidas lost billions when it cancelled a deal with Kanye West after his anti-Semitic comments. Diageo’s work with George Clooney on tequila Casamigos initially boomed, but sales fell by a fifth last year
