BGT: Emotional Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon are surprised with a choir by Ant and Dec

Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon get emotional as they are surprised with a choir by Ant and Dec to mark the judges 10-year anniversary on BGT.

In an exclusive clip from Saturday’s show the presenters, 51 and 43 respectively, were joined by Simon Cowell and David Walliams for the moment – which the cheeky duo eventually managed to jokingly make about themselves.

The clip starts with Ant and Dec telling the excitable judges: ‘Can you believe it is the 10th series that you have been together on the panel.’

Alesha Dixon then shouts: ‘No you’ll make me cry!’ before Simon adds: ‘Wow!’

The Geordie duo, both 46, then continue: ‘So we got you a gift!’ before pulling back a silver curtain to reveal a three-piece choir.

The trio then sing the song: ‘Congratulations on our 10-year anniversary and from the start these two have been there to guide you, the nations favourite duo Ant and Dec!’

David then pointed out of the song: ‘There was quite a lot about you in it! It ended being about you as well!’ as the other judges laughed.

Amanda exclusively told MailOnline of her feelings about the 10-year anniversary, saying: ‘It’s pretty incredible achievement!

‘Especially in today’s TV climate, for the same group of people to work together on the same show for so long and not fall out or be replaced!’

It comes after Ant was left needing medical attention after cutting his head on a coconut while filming Britain’s Got Talent.

In an unseen moment from the show released on Thursday, the television presenter is shown standing next to co-host Dec at the side of the stage as an act performs for the judges with a large number of the fruit set out on some tables.

Clearly in a mischievous mood, Ant grabs a coconut and tries to crack it open with his bare hands before smashing it against his forehead, with Dec, 46, pointing out blood had appeared on his skin before calling a medic in for help.

Dressed in a green uniform with the word ‘ambulance’ emblazoned across the back, the man is seen wrapping a white bandage around Ant’s head.

Ant asks: ‘When do I change this? When I get home?’, to which the medic tells him: ‘Yes, a new one every day for three weeks.’

‘For three weeks?!’, he exclaims.

The medic is then seen leaving the wings of the stage after patting Ant on the head, prompting the television star to shout: ‘Well don’t tap it, medic!’

Looking at his bandage, Dec joked to Ant: ‘I tell you what though, you might be able to do it now. You’ve got some padding!’

Ant hit back: ‘I won’t be able to do it now! That will open the wound, that will!’

It comes after David Walliams reportedly poked fun at Simon Cowell’s age on Britain’s Got Talent,  but the gag was believed to have been cut from the final edit of the show.

The comedian, 50, made a cheeky jibe about his fellow judge, 62, looking like a ‘grandad’ in the audition rounds of the talent show in January, according to The Sun.

The duo are known for their banter on camera, and they often got back and forth teasing each other and arguing.

But it appeared David, who is known for taunting Simon, went too far when he made the joke at Simon’s expense while talking to dance troupe Born to Perform.

He reportedly quipped: ‘Are you a fan of Simon Cowell? Does he look like your grandad?’

Cheeky: David then pointed out of the song: 'There was quite a lot about you in it! It ended being about you as well!' as the other judges laughed

It is understood Simon cut David’s jibe from the final edit of the episode, which aired on Saturday night.

A TV source told The Sun that Simon did not appear offended when the joke was first made, adding: ‘It’s odd the joke was taken out of the final cut as David has made far cheekier gags about Simon and they’ve stayed in.’

MailOnline contacted Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell and David Walliams’ representatives for comment.

David often makes jibes at Simon’s expense on the show and the pair are known for their on-screen repartee.

Simon recently hit back at a joke David made about his ‘gastric band’ as he cheekily suggested that the funnyman has had a hair transplant.

The music mogul spat back at the show panellist’s previous remarks by making a subtle dig, suggesting David had received the procedure.

In an interview with The Mirror, Simon was asked if the judges had changed over 10 years on the ITV talent show.

He replied: ‘Actually, everyone seems to look identical to when we started. David seems to have more hair, funny that. Maybe he’s got a new hairdresser.’

David – who is known for taunting Simon – admitted that fans enjoy his cheeky remarks directed at his fellow judge.

‘Every single day when someone recognises me on the street, they say, ‘Oh, we love it when you have a go at Simon’,’ he said.

‘It seems to be the key thing people really like… so if I didn’t give him a hard time, I think people would be disappointed.’
