Biden offers chance to fly on Air Force One to BAGHDAD to get cheap prescription drugs in Arizona swing state speech touting jobs, the economy and an $8.5billion chip deal with tech giant Intel

President Joe Biden inserted a new locale where he could fly Americans on Air Force One for cheaper prescription drugs: Baghdad, Iraq.

On Wednesday, Biden spoke to dignitaries, workers and supporters in Chandler, Arizona after touring Intel’s Ocotillo Campus, which is benefiting from the passage of the CHIPS and Science Act.

Since Tuesday, the president hit up two pivotal swing states – Nevada and then Arizona – and announced $8.5 billion in direct funding to Intel at the Chandler campus Wednesday afternoon thanks to the CHIPS Act.

During his speech touting his jobs record, he hit many familiar points – including one he’s made in recent days, and at the State of the Union address earlier this month, when he accidentally said he’d fly Americans to Moscow for cheap presciption drugs.

‘Whatever prescription you have made by any American drug manufacturer, jump on Air Force One and they’ll fly to any major country – any major city in the world – from Toronto to Berlin to Baghdad,’ Biden said. ‘Anywhere around the world, I’ll get off the plane, you bring that prescription to that country, you’ll be able to buy it for 40 to 60 percent less.’

The president is on a three-day swing through three states, heading to Texas next.

The trip is a mix of official and campaign stops, as he and former President Donald Trump became their parties’ official presumptive nominees last week.

During the Chandler stop, Biden referenced Trump, but referred to him as ‘my predecessor.’

‘Unlike my predecessor, I was determined to turn things around to invest in America – all-American, all Americans,’ Biden said. ‘And that’s what we’ve been doing.’

He took another slap at Trump saying ‘my predecessor would let the future rebuild in China and other countries, not America, because it may be cheaper.’

Biden said the Intel money would help workers in four states – Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico and Oregon.

Of those four states, it’s Arizona that could swing the 2024 presidential election.

An Emerson College poll out Wednesday showed Biden trailing Trump in Arizona.

The Democratic president receives 44 percent to Trump’s 48 percent, with 8 percent undecided.

When leaners are factored in, the presumptive Republican nominee retains his edge – beating Biden 52 percent to Biden’s 48 percent.

During this week’s trip, Biden is trying to shore up his support among Latino voters, who have been targeted by Trump and Republicans as a group that could be persuaded to head their away.

Ahead of his travels Monday, Biden talked to Univision Radio with Raúl Molinar and highlighted Trump’s record of child separations at the border, comments including that migrants were ‘poisoning the blood’ of the country, and his threat of a mass deportation should he win in November.

‘I mean, this guy despises Latinos,’ Biden said.
