Biden tells pro-Palestinian hecklers ‘you have a point’ when they shout about healthcare in Gaza as he is interrupted AGAIN during speech

  • Biden heckled by protesters during a health care event in North Carolina
  • Heckler could be heard shouting about health care in Gaza
  • It is the latest in a number of interruptions Biden has faced from people shouting about the war in Gaza and a ceasefire during his events

President Biden was interrupted by pro-Palestinian hecklers during his visit to North Carolina on Tuesday, the latest in a series of interruptions the 81-year-old president and other administration officials have faced over the war in Gaza in recent months.

Biden was in Raleigh to talk about health care during his trip to the battleground state when woman began to shout at him.

‘What about the health care in Gaza? What about the health care in Gaza?’ the woman could be heard yelling as the president squinted into the crowd.

‘Everybody deserves health care,’ the president said after a pause.

The woman can then be heard shouting ‘hospitals in Gaza are being bombed.’

Several other hecklers could also be heard shouting.

As the yelling continued, Biden said ‘be patient with them.’

‘They have a point, we need to get a lot more care into Gaza,’ Biden responded to a round of applause.

After a beat — Biden said ‘back to the subject at hand’ and continued his remarks as planned.

The president’s visit focused on health care days after the 14th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

But Biden, 81, has been dogged by hecklers who have screamed at him about Israel’s war in Gaza at multiple events over recent months across the country.

In January, the president appeared confused while being heckled at a stop in Pennsylvania.

During another speech in Illinois the president faced a heckler who shouted at him to call for a ceasefire.

Biden has struggled to navigate the fallout over U.S. support for Israel in its war in since Hamas carried out a deadly terror attack on October 7.

Progressives have slammed the U.S. position and have called for a ceasefire for months. They have also pushed back on funding for Israel as it has decimated parts of Gaza in an ongoing campaign against Hamas in response to its attack.

In recent weeks, Biden has become more critical of hard-right Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he faces political fallout in the midst of an election year over support for Israel.

While Biden has said he would never leave Israel and has continued to press for funding to the close U.S. ally, earlier this month, Biden said Netanyahu was ‘hurting Israel’ with so many civilians being killed in Gaza.

Tensions escalated on Monday when Netanyahu said he would not send a high-level delegation to Washington after the U.S. refrained from vetoing a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza during the month of Ramadan.

The U.S. had previously vetoed three resolutions calling for an end to the war in Gaza.

American officials have said they are worried about Israel’s plans to launch a major ground offensive in Rafah, where about half of Gaza’s 2.3 million population has found refuge.

The White House insisted that the abstention does not mean the U.S. position has  changed and called the cancelation of the trip ‘very disappointing.’
