Big Brother Australia full line-up revealed: Channel Seven announce 20 housemates

Big Brother Australia has finally announced all of the 20 housemates who will appear on the reality TV program this year. 

The diverse group range from 19 to 62, and consist of semi-famous influencers, aspiring actors, busy mums looking for a break and rural farmers.  

They will compete in a series of ‘Survivor style’ challenges to win $250,000. 

The reboot will premiere on June 8 at 7:30pm on Seven, hosted by Sonia Kruger.

Allan, 31, Sydney

High-achieving corporate salesman Alan will do anything to win. 

The housemate is a self-described ‘proud A.B.C’ (Australian-born Chinese person) and aims to become the first Asian housemate to win Big Brother Australia. 

He’s ‘loud, opinionated and not going into the house to make friends’.

Angela Clancy, 38, Perth  

Angela, a feisty events manager and mother from Perth, says she ‘wants to be the last one standing’ and that ‘Big Brother has met its match’ with her.

She claims she’ll ‘sweet talk housemates during the day, and vote them out at night’. 

‘I came from Africa with nothing but a suitcase. My family is everything. At home, I’m a mum. At work, I’m a boss. I can be all of that and more,’ she says.

Casey Mazzucchelli, 25, Perth

Tattooed brunette Casey is a self-described bogan, as well as a ‘free spirit’. 

She works as an accounts administrator but also has a diploma in youth work and hopes to work with children some day. The beauty has ‘strong family values’. 

Her friends would describe her as ‘annoying’ and she hates ‘fake people’.

Chad Hurst, 27, Sydney 

International model Chad splits his time between photo shoots in Los Angeles, and working as a roofer in Sydney. 

While Chad boasts about appearing in Vogue Australia in his promo for the show, he forgot to disclose the X-rated full frontal nude shoots he did back in 2013.

‘I think I’ll be able to adapt to most personalities in the Big Brother house. I’ll be weaving my way in there, seeing what’s going on,’ he says.

Sonia’s Big payday from Seven

Channel Seven spared no expense recruiting Sonia Kruger to host the show.

After previously hosting Big Brother from 2012 to 2014 on Nine, Seven offered her a reported ‘seven-figure deal’ to jump networks ahead of the reboot.

Her negotiations with Nine broke down late last year after they initially presented her with a three-year contract worth $1.5million. 

Seven then swooped in with an offer she couldn’t refuse.

Daniel Gorringe, 28, Melbourne

Housemate Daniel, 28, retired from AFL in 2017. 

Since then he’s amassed 76,000 Instagram followers by stripping naked for bizarre stunts, as well as taking part in some very questionable comedy skits. 

One of his longest-running gags involves placing random items down his trousers. In past videos, he’s wedged a lemon between his buttocks, and a golf ball.

Danni, 34, Townsville 

The married mum-of-two says appearing on Big Brother is a dream come true. 

Danni is a hairstylist, small business owner and ‘unapologetically’ herself. If she wins the show, she’ll use the $250,000 prize to buy a ‘pimping caravan’.

Garth Saville, 50, Sydney

Garth is described as ‘fabulous, fun and a little bit naughty’ by Channel Seven. 

The 50-year-old refers to himself as an ‘urban adventurer, glitter aficionado and gay dad’ on Instagram. He is the director of recruitment agency Talent Realised. 

He came out as gay aged 30 and is a foster parent with his longterm partner.

Hannah Campbell, 26, Perth

The brunette comes from a footy family, and all three of her brothers play AFL.

She’s earned herself the nickname of ‘bulldozer’ and will have no problem handling the male housemates once in the Big Brother compound.

Despite being ‘confident, cut-throat and super competitive’, Hannah also has a soft side and visits her beloved Nonna every couple of days.

Ian, 25, Perth

Ian works as a waiter and loves the ‘people skills’ he’s developed on the job. 

The 25-year-old is an only child, grew up in the bush in Western Australia and has always been fascinated by ecology and biology.

The YouTube video blogger is known as ‘Adelaide’s worst driver’. 

He has spent years documenting his unsuccessful driving lessons with his parents, as well as his repeated failed attempts at getting off his learner plates. 

Kieran is a Big Brother super-fan and not afraid of speaking his mind.

Laura Kaiviti, 25, Melbourne

Laura was born in Victoria and has a Fijian background. 

She dropped out of school at 17 to train as a dancer in Los Angeles and New York, and describes herself as a ‘Fiji Warrior Princess’ on Instagram. 

‘It’s my way or the highway,’ she says, making it known that she doesn’t back down.

Marissa Rancan, 62, Sydney  

The 62-year-old makeup artist from Sydney found fame in the 1980s as one third of aerobics icons The Rancan Sisters with her twin siblings, Adele and Lisa.

‘We were the first three to bring aerobics to Australia. It started back in 1983 and we were known for our morning TV appearances,’ Marissa says of her showbiz past.

Mat Garrick, 30, Broken Hill

The 30-year-old has been dubbed the show’s ‘outback tradie’ after filming his promo in Broken Hill, focusing on his country lifestyle in far west New South Wales. 

However, he failed to mention his year as a panelist on ABC’s Think Tank in 2018.  

When asked how he’ll go in the house, Mat says: ‘I hope I’m a pretty likeable guy. Got to keep my wits about myself. Some people are conniving and backstabbing.’

Sarah McDougal, 19, Melbourne

The 48-year-old is ‘fit as hell’ and hopes being in great shape will help win challenges.

He was born in Korea, is a divorced father-of-three and described as ‘one of the happiest people that you’ll ever meet’ who loves having fun.

Sophie Budack, 25, Darwin 

Sophie is hoping her good looks will help her win the Chanel Seven reality show.

After being announced as a housemate in May, the 25-year-old from Darwin said: ‘Using my looks will be one of my strategies’.

The glamorous brunette is a former gymnast and fractured her back at the age of 13 while training for the Olympics in London.

Talia Rycroft, 22, Adelaide

The blonde bombshell is a construction worker from South Australia.
