According to The Mirror, Mr Connors was the nephew of the well-known reality TV star.

Mr Connors’ horse, Big T, suffered extensive injuries and had to be put down by a vet.

Mr Connors’ brother Simey wrote on Facebook: ‘My heart is in bits over you … I saw you lying on the ground I ran over and got on my knees to beg Jesus and Mary for you to be OK.’

This is the latest tragedy to strike the reality TV star, who lost his mother Queenie in April to a ‘broken heart’ and his father Simon, a year earlier.

Simey Connors rushed to the scene of the accident after his brother failed to reach the finishing line following the race on the A 2016, Eastern Way.

Friends and relatives posted dozens for Facebook messages paying tribute to the dead man.
