Big Mac enthusiasts are going wild for a cheap, store brand sauce which supposedly mimics the taste of the iconic condiment.
Sold in a 360g bottle at Coles for $2.75, consumers claim the supermarket’s ‘Special Burger Sauce’ is an accurate replica of the secret McDonald’s Big Mac sauce.
Many have taken to social media to spread the word, with some going as far to say that they no longer need the real thing.

A Coles spokesperson couldn’t confirm whether the sauce was intended as a Big Mac imitation, BuzzFeed reported.
But the spokesperson said: ‘Our product development team worked on the sauce for 18 months … [we are] closely monitoring emerging food trends’.
