Bikini designer, 28, shares amazing before and after photo

She’s built an empire around selling cheeky bikini’s and regularly posts body positive rants to Instagram – the likes of which inspire young women to flaunt what they’ve got.

But Moana Bikini CEO Karina Irby’s own physical journey has been a lengthy one, with the 28-year-old admitting it has taken years to sculpt the body of her dreams.

On Friday the stunning blonde chose to upload a side-by-side transformation photo to show off her booty gains.

‘Anyone who thinks girls run out and get overnight surgeries or photo editors think again,’ the post began.

‘Humans bodies do naturally change! I know mine has over the years and looking back on old photos blows my mind.’

Karina is wearing her own bikini range in both photos which were taken over four years apart.

‘Trolls will comment that I’m now “fat” BUT in reality I’m a happy, healthy lady,’ she continued.

‘I was pretty unhealthy in my first photo. Not eating right and not taking care of my body.

‘Yes I’ve gained weight, both fat and muscle but I’m now training four times a week and eating for my body. It’s crazy what eating and weights can do.’

In June last year the designer posted a three-way photo that further illustrates her transformation, showing how her body has significantly changed in five years.

The first photo, from 2013, shows the same super slim frame that Karina had when she was 18.

‘I loved going for long runs,’ Karina recalled of the time. ‘I had no idea about what foods I should be eating and no idea about health and fitness in general.’

‘I wasn’t eating nearly enough of the right food, or food at all to be fuelling my body.’

In the accompanying picture, the designer is visibly slim and toned – but totally different to the third shot in the collage.

Next to the second photograph in the journey, Karina wrote: ‘2014 – Still a cardio head and loving it! I started at a gym and maybe went twice/three times a week.

In the second photo, the designer clearly has more muscle tone and a bigger behind, but she said she was ‘still not eating enough food to fuel my body and muscles’.

The 2017 photo shows Karina’s results after ‘working out, hard, for the past two to three years,’ she wrote.

‘I started at a personal training gym @starke_fitness and participated in four, 45 min sessions a week. I lift weights, heavy weights!

‘I only do cardio once or twice a week, but still incorporate weights into my exercises. I eat well and I eat a lot.’

The designer concluded her post by writing about what she has learned on the journey.

‘Looking back, I wish I [had] help and support earlier in the form of an online guide for personal trainer,’ she said.

Following her fitness journey, Karina is now also the co-founder of the Bikini Body Burn movement, which she launched with her personal trainer, Simon McDermott.
