At the moment Billie is involved with the 31-year-old alt rock singer Jesse Rutherford, in a romance that has drawn brickbats online because of the age gap.
Last September, before their relationship went public, Billie dished that she experimented with her Eilish No. 2 perfume while seeing someone she was sweet on.
‘When we were home in July, I had a lot of new fragrances and I also had a bunch of new Eilish No.2 samples. So I was playing around,’ Billie told W.
‘There were specific days when I was gonna go hang out with some new friends, and I was gonna go hang out with a person that I kind of was interested in,’ she dished.
‘And I was like: “Ooh, how do I wanna smell?” Usually, the way I smell when I’m gonna go see a person that I’m interested in is such an important part of my choices.’
Plugging the scent, she asserted: ‘I not only chose this specific one, it was one that I made. I’m not just going to use my products just because they’re my products. I’m gonna use them if I like them, and I’m not going to if I don’t.’
She claimed: ‘And so I wore it that whole week, seeing a person that I liked. And I was very stoked about it. I was like, wow, I really did what I needed to do. So I think Eilish No. 2 really works if you’re trying to be a little flirt.’
Social media has simmered with backlash against Billie and Jesse’s age difference, especially as he may have known her since she was a minor.

Finneas O’Connell, Billie’s elder brother and co-writer, has since defended her relationship, saying: ‘I want my sister to be happy and safe, and she is a 21-year-old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions.’
Billie has called Jesse the ‘hottest f**king f**ker alive,’ gushing to Vanity Fair that she was ‘really inspired by this person and, you know, he’s inspired by me’ and shrugging off the blowback by maintaining that ‘I am in control right now. I did this.’
