Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs couldn’t believe his eyes after flicking through his TV and stumbling across Dana White’s controversial Power Slap League.
Power Slap, which sees opponents stand at a podium and trade open-palm slaps without being able to defend themselves, made its television debut a week later than planned this month after being delayed amid controversy surrounding White.
The UFC President, who produces the TBS show, admitted to hitting his wife during a violent altercation on New Year’s Eve, meaning his new venture was pushed back a week.
After finally getting up and running on Wednesday, it didn’t take long for Power Slap to draw widespread criticism from fans and health experts alike over the clear dangers involved.

And now Diggs has expressed his astonishment at the new sport after stumbling across it on TV, branding it ‘some crazy s**t’ in a hilarious clip on his Instagram story.
The Bills star shared footage of himself watching Power Slap and wrote the caption: ‘What am I watching? I never watch TV anymore only Netflix and this what be on TV Jesus Christ’.
He then asked: ‘Is this a real sport?’
Diggs can then be heard commentating over Power Slap while watching a series of brutal slaps, which send two combatants tumbling to the floor.

‘Nah, this some crazy s**t right here,’ he says. ‘They right here smacking the s**t out of each other. Watch this right here. Oh! My gosh!’
White and Power Slap officials have been heavily criticized for giving the controversial sport a platform, with Chris Nowinski, a Harvard Ph.D. and former wrestler who has previously questioned the sports world’s handling of concussions, taking issue with a clip in which one combatant, Chris Kennedy, appeared to show immediate signs of a significant head injury known as a fencing posture.
‘This is so sad,’ tweeted Nowinski, the co-founder and president of the Concussion Legacy Foundation. ‘Note the fencing posture with the first brain injury. He may never be the same.’
A fencing posture or fencing response involves victims’ hands shooting into an unnatural position with their forearms flexed outward.
‘@danawhite & @TBSNetwork should be ashamed,’ Nowinski added. ‘Pure exploitation. What’s next, ”Who can survive a stabbing?”’
White, however, insisted all health and safety measures are taken seriously after responding: ‘We spend the money to make sure we have two healthy people in there and proper medical attention during and after the fight.
‘These are all the things we need to educate people on, just like we needed to educate people on mixed martial arts.’
Diggs and the Bills are gearing up for their NFL playoff against Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, almost three weeks since teammate Damar Hamlin suffered an on-field cardiac arrest against the very same opponent.
They booked their place in the Divisional Round after edging past the Miami Dolphins 34-31 last Sunday.
