Doggone weather! Billy the Chihuahua demands to go outside – but hilariously changes her mind when she runs into snow

An adorable dog was caught on camera demanding to go outside before suddenly thinking better of it when confronted with snow.
The footage was recorded by the pooch’s owner at their family home in Ottawa, Canada.
In the video, the tiny brown dog, a Chihuahua called Billy, is standing on the floor and wagging her tail as she looks up excitedly toward the camera.
Her owner asks ‘Billy, do you want to go outside?’ and the pooch enthusiastically responds by jumping up at her legs.
The woman behind the camera then turns and opens the door as Billy whizzes out to stand on the stairs.
The pair hurry down the steps and the dog leaps repeatedly at a second door in anticipation of being allowed outside.

But having taken three hurried strides across the layer of crisp, white snow she realises her mistake and makes a sudden U-turn.
She instead darts straight back inside and rushes up the stairs, leaving a trail of pawprints in the snow behind her.

Her owner lets out a giggle and unsuccessfully tries to encourage Billy to venture outside once again.
Billy soon disappears out of shot back into the living room as her owner closes the door, which is where the video ends.
The dog’s owner later said: ‘My dog has never been a fan of the snow. She does, however, love going for walks.
‘We like to trick her with the first snowfall of the year. She gets super excited to go outside, not so much for the snow.’
