But according to New Idea, tensions have apparently been running high in the Irwin household lately, with Bindi reportedly devastated that mother Terri, 53, left her boyfriend Chandler Powell out of a new TV deal with Animal Planet.
A ‘source’ close to the family reportedly told New Idea on Monday, that Bindi is allegedly shocked that Chandler wasn’t even considered for a starring role alongside the family.

‘Bindi was shocked to learn Terri had signed a contract for herself, Bindi and Robert only,’ a source close to the family claimed.
‘As far as Bindi’s concerned, she and Chandler are a package deal.’
The insider went on to claim that because of his commitment to Australia Zoo and the pair’s mutual love of animals, Bindi considers Chandler part of the family, and has even suggested that he should have a bigger role in the family’s affairs.
‘Chandler has worked so hard to become a working member of the family, and Bindi adores him,’ the source revealed.

Chandler, 20, has been Bindi’s longtime boyfriend since 2014, even moving in with her and her family earlier this year.
He is an American national, who only communicated with Bindi through letters after a family trip to Australia Zoo in 2014.

Being a huge fan of her legendary father Steve and his tireless animal conservation efforts, he naturally had a keen interest in Bindi and the pair began a long distance relationship while Chandler finished up his studies back in Florida.
Swiftly moving to Australia upon graduating, Chandler was quickly given a job at Australia Zoo where it’s alleged he is being groomed to take over the conservation end of the zoo after Terri retires.
Following Steve’s death in 2006, the Irwin family has maintained a high-profile in Australia and around the world, attempting to keep the legacy of their husband and father alive.
