Bindi Irwin has updated fans on the special present she received from Hollywood superstar Russell Crowe for her wedding three years ago.
The 25-year-old conservationist and her beau Chandler Powell, 26, were gifted a Port Jackson fig tree by the Gladiator star, 59, who is a lifelong friend of the Irwin family.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Bindi shared a picture of herself posing under the tree with husband Chandler and their two-year-old daughter Grace Warrior.
She also shared a throwback picture of herself and Chandler receiving the fig tree, in a pot with a lacy white ribbon tied around its trunk.
‘2019 vs 2023,’ Bindi captioned the story.

‘The most thoughtful wedding gift from our dear friend Russell Crowe,’ she continued.
‘This gorgeous fig will be part of our entire lifetime. Truly extraordinary.’
Bindi shared a second photo where her daughter Grace Warrior can be seen holding onto the trunk of the fig, which has grown considerably over the past few years.

The Port Jackson fig tree is native to Australia and is known to have a life lasting more than 100 years.
Bindi and Chandler tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in front of only three people at Australia Zoo in March 2020.
Their guests included Bindi’s mother Terri, brother Robert and her father Steve Irwin’s best friend Wes Mannion.

Steve died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.
It comes after Russell made headlines in June when his band played a show at Australia Zoo, which re-united him with Bindi’s mum, Terri Irwin.
Russell and Terri, 58, have been close friends since her husband Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin died in 2006.

They have repeatedly denied rumours they have dated over the years.
The Hollywood icon, who was accompanied by his girlfriend Britney Theriot, 32, brought his band The Gentlemen Barbers to the Queensland sanctuary for a one-off show on Saturday, June 4.
Terri sat in the audience of the Crocoseum where the concert was held and enjoyed her long-time friend’s music with her children Bindi and Robert.
Russell and Britney have been an item since November 2020, while Terri has not been in a public relationship since her husband Steve died in 2006.
