Binge reveals which shows will be back in 2024 including new seasons of Colin from Accounts and Sam Neill’s The Twelve

Hit Australian series Colin from Accounts is set to return for a second season on Foxtel/Binge in 2024. 

The romantic comedy drama, which stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, led the streaming giants Upfronts preview on Thursday.

Also returning to Binge next year for a second season will be much-loved actor Sam Neill in a new series of the hard-hitting court room drama The Twelve.

Frances O’Connor will join Neill for The Twelve 2, in which the Jurassic Park actor will reprise his Logie nominated role as barrister Brett Colby.

Few story details of the new series have been released, but it’s understood that the plot will centre on a high profile murder trial.

Among the new dramas announced in the Binge/Foxtel Upfronts at Cockatoo Island in Sydney on Thursday was a feature film based a cult tune by songwriter Paul Kelly.

Inspired by the 1996 ballad How to Make Gravy, which tells the story of a convict who longs to be with his family at Christmas, the movie will star Hugo Weaving and 35-year-old French actress and journalist Agathe Rouselle. 

The cast will also include acclaimed Snowtown actor Daniel Henshall and The Great Gatsby’s Kate Mulvany.

The High Country is another new series fans can look forward to on Binge in 2024.

Set in the wilderness of Victoria’s rugged hill country, the eight-part crime series stars Wentworth’s Leah Purcell and Mystery Road’s Aaron Pedersen.

Meanwhile, Asher Keddie is set to play a character based on Australian media mogul Mia Freedman in the 8-part comedy-drama Strife.

Based on Freedman’s 2017 memoir Work, Strife, Balance the series will premiere on December 6, with all episodes dropping at once.

Among the favourites returning to Binge in 2024 will be a new season of Gogglebox Australia and Celebrity Gogglebox.

There will also be a new season of Selling Houses Australia with hosts Andrew Winter, Wendy Moore and Dennis Scott.

Meanwhile, among the high-profile international series on offer on Binge next year will be a fourth season of the critically acclaimed smash hit crime drama True Detective.

Starring Oscar winner Jodie Foster, True Detective: Night Country deals with an investigation into the disappearance of six men from a research station in Alaska.

The series is set to drop on Binge on January 15.
