Biologi Bd Face Luminosity Serum is ‘liquid gold’ for acne and eczema

An Australian brand renowned for its 100 per cent active ingredient skincare has released a new innovation that promises to heal red and raw instances of acne.

Biologi’s Bd Face Luminosity Serum, which retails for $20 for 5ml and $108 for 30ml, has been dubbed ‘liquid gold’ by those who suffer from persistent pimples, using Davidson Plum to heal scarring and redness.

Davidson Plum contains gallic acid, an astringent to calm the skin’s colour, tartaric acid to improve the appearance of pores and quercetin to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier.

The star ingredient balances the skin’s natural oil production by gently cleansing away excess sebum that can cause a build up of oil.

Wendy Nguyen, a makeup and beauty expert, raved about the serum on Instagram in 2019 and said it ‘put out the fire’ within four days.

‘March 15 was the very first day I used Biologi and you can see how much of a difference four days made! I used Bk Serum on my entire face and Bf on my hands/body,’ she wrote.

What other ways can you treat eczema?

Protect your skin by applying moisturiser every day. Some people with severe eczema might need wet dressings, which cool, protect and rehydrate the skin.

Treat flare-ups by using ointments or creams prescribed by your doctor.

Control itching by using antihistamines, a cold compress for the affected area.

Control and prevent infection by keeping your house clean and using antibiotics to treat infection if prescribed by your doctor.

‘He would constantly scratch, which meant he would wake up constantly during the night (so would I), which would make him very tired as well as myself. I also had to continually cover his hands with mittens.’

Ms Sabido now applies Bf on his eczema prone areas after his bath and when she notices flare ups starting, and the results speak for themselves.

The Bf serum is made from pure extract of finger lime and is a natural source of tryptophan – a powerful amino acid that will reverse damage and repair the barrier function of the skin.

It is also a natural source of vitamin C and helps the skin retain moisture, suppleness and elasticity and helps to decrease spots, blemishes, redness, sun damage, cellulite, dryness, bumps and flaking.

Biologi’s Dermal Specialist Lucy Kuper said eczema can be caused by a number of different factors and triggered at any age.

‘It’s a skin condition that someone can be born with, or it can be caused by environmental allergens, irritation from cosmetics or skincare ingredients and sometimes even diet,’ she said.

‘There isn’t necessarily a ‘cure’ for eczema however the there are steps you can take to prevent outbreaks or flare ups. Try to limit your exposure to known irritants, use mild soaps and avoid scratching the areas.

‘It is absolutely necessary to develop a good skincare routine following a dermatologists recommendation. We of course recommend using Biologi Bf Serum on areas affected by eczema (and no other products).’

Ms Kuper said for those who get it later in life it is normally caused by environmental factors like smoke and pollen, or their current skincare routine which is irritating their skin.

What is eczema and what are the symptoms?

Eczema is a skin condition that someone can be born with, or it can be caused by environmental allergens, irritation from cosmetics or skincare ingredients and sometimes even diet.

People suffering from eczema will experience skin that is sore, itchy and more susceptible to irritation or infection.

There isn’t necessarily a cure for eczema however the there are steps you can take to prevent outbreaks or flare ups.

‘Stress is also a big cause of people getting eczema later on in life,’ she added.

‘Certain foods can trigger symptoms of eczema too, such as nuts, eggs, seeds and dairy, plus alcohol can play a role in irritating the skin to reveal eczema symptoms.’

Ms Kuper said Biologi is an effective treatment as it contains a unique combination of fruit acids and a powerful combination of natural phytonutrients that work synergistically to target all the symptoms of eczema.

‘Biologi is also the first skincare product in the world that contains natural, stable, active vitamin C,’ she said.

‘Absorption of the beneficial active plant nutrients is fast and effective allowing the serum to penetrate deeper into the epidermis to repair, restore and hydrate skin cells.’

She also warned that a skincare regime should be looked at by a professional if eczema symptoms are being displayed.
