- Collingwood star marked early in the second half
- Also was bizarrely carrying a plastic bag
- Unusual scenes amused many footy fans online
Collingwood star Nick Daicos got more than he bargained for after taking a mark during the second quarter of the AFL Grand Final.
In bizarre scenes, the Magpies young gun also caught a plastic bag in the see-sawing contest against the Brisbane Lions at the MCG.
Predictably, it didn’t take long for footy fans to mock the 20-year-old.
‘Should get a fine for littering,’ one supporter remarked on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
‘$2k fine for that,’ joked another.

Daicos’ teammate Bobby Hill was showing the Magpies how it is done on the ultimate stage, with the pint-sized forward kicking three early goals in the performance of his career.
It follows the former GWS star making a triumphant return to the sport after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in May last year.
At halftime, the Magpies were in front by a goal, with the lead changing hands countless times in a thrilling contest.
Meanwhile, Collingwood star Nathan Murphy failed his head injury assessment and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
The key defender took a shoulder blow directly to his head when competing for a loose ball in the first quarter.
Richmond legend Matthew Richardson labelled the accidental collision ‘nasty.’
Teammate Patrick Lipinski was activated as the sub.
