Bizarre photo of Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger resurfaces on red carpet: ‘A different time’

A rare photo of Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger has emerged on social media.

The image taken in 2002 shows the three iconic Australian stars standing closely while walking the red carpet at a special screening of The Ring in Los Angeles.

Naomi was dressed in a brown dress as she looked lovingly at her then-boyfriend Heath while holding friend Nicole’s hand.

American comedian Ilana Glazer seemed hypnotised by the image, sharing the photo to Instagram. 

‘Staring at this today. Lots to sort out! What do you see?’ the image was captioned.

It wasn’t long before the post was inundated with comments, with many claiming the image was ‘iconic’.

‘3 Aussies, one red carpet! RIP Heath,’ one wrote. 

Another said: ‘A successful actress with her boyfriend and girlfriend attending the premiere of the American Ring movie.’

‘Interconnection, hands held and gazed eyes, and different times,’ a third added.  

‘Three Aussies who were best friends,’ another person added.

‘Everything! I see everything!’ said one more.  

Naomi and Health began dating in 2002. Their relationship ended in 2004 and he died four years later at the age of 28.

After his tragic death, Naomi said the late actor was a ‘very special soul’ who ‘made a great impact on my life’.

‘We had a beautiful relationship, only a couple of years, but he was a man who was completely full of joy, and there was a lot of laughing and affection,’ she told America’s More magazine.

It wasn’t long before the post was inundated with comments, with many claiming the image was ‘iconic’ 

‘He was really a very special soul and made a great impact on my life.

‘And a great actor, but I know there was so much more to come. And it’s such a tragedy for his little daughter.’

Heath went on to date actress Michelle Williams, with whom he had Matilda, 18.

Heath died in a New York City apartment on January 22, 2008, after accidentally overdosing following months of physical and mental exhaustion.

The Dark Knight actor died aged 28 after taking a fatal cocktail of drugs, leaving behind his daughter, who was two years old at the time.

Michelle, who was in a relationship with Heath from 2004 to 2007 after meeting on set of Brokeback Mountain, decided to raise Matilda away from the spotlight.
