Bizarre reason why all US Open matches were SUSPENDED with players stranded on courts

The US Open briefly ground to a halt on Monday – with all matches suspended for around 10 minutes – after the Hawkeye system was reportedly disrupted by a fire alarm.

Players including Caroline Wozniacki and Daniil Medvedev were briefly left stranded on court during their last-16 matches at Flushing Meadows.

It’s claimed that a fire alarm went off in the building holding the team that run the electronic line calling system for the US Open.

Those inside were evacuated, meaning play had to be paused on Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium and elsewhere in New York.
