The action film stars Chadwick Boseman, 41, as T’Challa, who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
The film costars Michael B. Jordan (Creed), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave) and Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out).

The film has certainly won over Hollywood, with celebrities buying up big numbers of tickets, with actress Octavia Spencer and tennis legend Serena Williams among those giving tickets to disadvantaged communities.
Rapper T.I., 37, who costarred alongside Paul Rudd in the Marvel film Ant-Man, partnered with Walmart for a free Black Panther screening for children in Atlanta.
Spencer, 45, also bought tickets for underprivileged kids, posting on Instagram: ‘As promised I have purchased screenings of Black Panther this weekend. If you know of families low on funds, please spread the word!’
