He’s approaching 50 but to look at David Beckham’s beard you wouldn’t know it!
The legendary ex-England captain has been mocked by some fans this week after pictures emerged of him with Prince William at a London Air Ambulance appeal sporting suspiciously dyed facial hair.
After posing for the cameras, fans commented that he looked drastically different from recent photographs pointing out his striking eyebrows and light brown beard.
His bouffant hairstyle was also entirely free of grey hairs despite the footballer appearing as somewhat of a silver fox in a Netflix documentary last year.
Reports at the time suggested the former footballer wasn’t entirely thrilled with the way he looked in the four-part documentary about him and was particularly unhappy with his hair.

Beckham’s bouffant hairstyle was also entirely free of grey hairs despite the footballer appearing as somewhat of a silver fox in a Netflix documentary last year.
Sources said there was some unhappiness about his hair, which was shorn before Beckham premiered, and that he was even a little dissatisfied with his handsome face which may have prompted a change in his approach to grooming.
Reacting to the pictures of Beckham and Prince William at the Air Ambulance appeal, one fan noted: ‘Love David Beckham, but….I do believe he put the hair & beard dye in, relaxed back in his deep, leather armchair & had a Nanny-Nap. Woke up an hr later?? …oops.’
Another questioned: ‘Why is David Beckham’s tash, beard and eyebrows 50 shades darker than his hair?’
Of course over the years Beckham has become known for being a style chameleon when it comes to hair which he has always protected sparking some speculation he may have even undergone ‘secret hair transplants.’
Since the now retired footballer, 48, made his debut at Manchester United in 1993, the nation has seen him rock a whole range of different hairdo’s.

He has carved out a niche for himself as a style icon alongside his wife Victoria (Pictured leaving a London restaurant together last night)
Last year, the fashion icon revealed the only hairstyle he regrets is his cornrows which he wore ahead of a meeting with Nelson Mandela in 2003.
The footballer claims that he had made the bold style choice on a whim whilst on holiday in the South of France with his wife Victoria Beckham and their friends.
He explained: ‘We were there with family and one of Victoria’s friends who is a hairdresser.
‘I asked if she could do something with my hair and she said, ‘Do you want cornrows?’ and I said, ‘Yeah. I don’t know what they are. But yeah’. It was painful having them done but I liked them.
‘People ask if I have any regrets about my hairstyles and while I don’t regret any of them, I do sort of regret the cornrows.
‘I had them put in on the Saturday and on the Monday I flew to South Africa with the England team for a match.
‘I got to meet the great Nelson Mandela. And the picture that I’ve got of Nelson Mandela is me holding his hand with cornrows in my hair. That’s my only regret.’
In the Netflix documentary, David insists he didn’t get his 2000 buzzcut for the attention and initially refused to take his cap off when Sir Alex Ferguson asked him to.
He said: ‘I never did it to create attention. I’m not that person.’ Sir Alex said: When David shaved his head, I honestly thought a member of my family had died.
‘Because my phone went off. The panic in people’s voices’.
