Block’s Bec and George Douros’ buy in Williamstown, VIC

Both and and off-air, The Block’s Bec and George Douros are known for their renovation rescue prowess.

Now, the couple have announced they’ve landed the fixer-upper they’ll finally settle down in, moving into Williamstown, in Melbourne’s west last week.

With a second son due in February, the lovers now have several months to glam up their already liveable two-bed one-bathroom home, which had an indicative selling price of up to $970,000, according to Domain.

Welcome to Williamstown! The Block’s Bec and George Douros have announced they’ve landed the fixer-upper they’ll finally settle down in, moving into Williamstown, in Melbourne’s west last week

Taking to Instagram last Friday, heavily pregnant Bec and her hubby posed in front of the immaculately located property, adding the hashtags ‘#dourosfamilyhome’ and ‘#newchapter’.

While the abode is in need of a good lick of paint and some TLC in the garden, the interior of the property is a notable step-up from the weathered appearance broadcast to passers-by.

With the polished hardwood floors running throughout the spacious property looking in good nick, any changes in that area would constitute a purely stylistic preference.

In the lounge room, a fully functioning fireplace sits ready to ease the new family through Melbourne’s typically chilly winters.

Bec and George will want to make sure the air-conditioning is up-and-running before wandering into the sun room however, as it is bound to be sweltering over the coming months.

Elsewhere, the kitchen is begging for an upgrade, still boasting timber skirting boards and appliances straight out of the 1980s.

The master bedroom, while spacious, oddly boasts a mismatched wood-stain colour on the floors, which also look worn down in comparison.

Same goes for the second bedroom, although the built-in wardrobe appeared a quick afternoon’s work away from being back to its best.

The yellow-tiled bathroom on the other hand, will require a complete overhaul, presenting just the kind of challenge that will have the budding renovators brimming with possibilities.

Same goes for the paved back garden, which would likely present itself as a hassle for some, but an opportunity for the likes of Bec and George.

The couple competed in The Block: Sky High back in 2013, where their $242,000 profit from a $1.265 million reserve was enough for fourth place, in what was a closely contested season.
