Bluey: Surprise engagement announcement sends fans of the cult children’s show into a meltdown: ‘I passed out with excitement’

It’s one of Australia’s most successful television shows. 

And fans of the cult children’s favourite Bluey have gone into a meltdown after it was announced that Radley Heeler, Bluey and Bingo’s uncle, is engaged to his ladylove Frisky. 

Radley and his significant are set to tie-the-knot in a future episode of the show.

A Radley Heeler Facebook fan page announced he proposed to Frisky in Bali, and included two stunning graphics of the moment. 

‘So a lot of yous have asked lately and I think we’re finally ready to make it public. Frisky Heeler said yes, she’s going to be an official Heeler,’ the announcement read.

‘This dragon slayer popped the question while we were in Bali and this Spring (Australia Seasons) you can expect a proper Heeler wedding for the ages! 

‘So glad I get to do life with this wonderful frisky lady’. 

Fans of the children’s show went wild, with the announcement post receiving over 32,000 likes and 3,000 comments.

One dedicated Bluey fan wrote: ‘My 7yr old passed out from excitement’, while another said: ‘I (29) passed out with excitement!’

A third wrote: ‘I am ridiculously excited about this particular engagement announcement’. 

Bluey creator Joe Brumm had hinted a wedding was on the cards for the loved-up dogs.

Speaking to Bluey podcast Gotta Be Done, he said: ‘A wedding hasn’t happened between Rad and Frisky. But, the idea is that the relationship’s started, maybe they’re engaged. 

‘And I love the idea of caricaturing an Australian wedding from the kid’s point of view. […] I’d like to try that.’

After announcing the exciting news, the fan page for Radley shared some photos from the ‘engagement shoot’. 

Alongside the animation, they wrote: ‘CRIKEY WOW. 

Bluey creator Joe Brumm hinted that a wedding was on the cards for the loved-up dogs 

‘I’m rapt to see this kind of reaction to our engagement. Thanks to all those who wished us well and gave congratulations. We appreciate you all.’ 

The person behind the fan page seems certain there will be a wedding between the dogs in the upcoming series. 

‘To those who were dismissive. You can scroll on mate. We aren’t big into misinformation here and there will be a wedding with my adorable nieces coming soon. Feel free to Google some of the leaked pictures and the Gotta Be Done Podcast!’ they added.
