Vaucluse Boulevard remains cordoned off on Monday morning as forensic officers scoured the scene.

A second crime scene 500m down the road has also been set up, where a Mazda vehicle with a damaged bonnet appears to have crashed on a one-way road.

Police believe the two scenes could be linked.

Shocked residents said they didn’t hear anything during the night and don’t believe the BMW belongs to anyone in the street.
