Bodycam footage shows cops grilling bride who drugged guests with weed-laced food

She was hoping for a relaxed, euphoric evening filled with food, wine and maybe a few giggles.

But stoned bride Danya Svoboda had her dreamy, dazed wedding – and her high – abruptly interrupted when she was confronted by police about drugging her guests with a cannabis-laced menu.

Danya and her caterer Joycelyn Montrinice Bryant, 31, have both been charged for spiking the food at the February wedding with THC.

Their plot was revealed after several of the guests were taken to the hospital in a panic. Some vomited profusely while others said their hearts were racing out of control.

Now, as the bride and her caterer await their next court date, bodycam footage has emerged showing the moment cops confronted the 42-year-old bride and her unsuspecting groom Andrew.

In the video, Danya barely manages to suppress a smile as she stares at the officer, blinking but saying nothing.

‘Bride and groom?’ the Seminole County police officer asks before confronting the pair with: ‘Apparently, supposedly, your food had cannabis in it. Did you authorize that?’

Danya raises an eyebrow then bites her lip but says nothing, allowing her groom – who has not been charged – to do the talking.

‘No sir,’ he responds, while she stands behind him in her wedding dress and fur stole.

Later, Andrew tries to come up with an explanation for why multiple guests felt sick and even went to the hospital in gurneys.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if people had their own [marijuana]’ he said.

‘That may be. If people brought their own that’s one thing but if somebody put it in the food for everybody including minors, that’s where the problem might be.’

The joy gave way to confusion, terror and stupor after the nearly 70 guests - including elderly couples on medication - were served bread, pasta and desserts laced with marijuana. Miranda's place-setting is seen here

‘Absolutely,’ the groom said, becoming increasingly serious.

‘There are three more people at the entrance not feeling good. We might be transporting more people to the hospital because of this,’ the cop said.

‘Are you serious?’ Andrew, now thoroughly worried, said back.

The bride says nothing throughout.

Guests previously told how they were terrified they were going to die on the night of the wedding.

It all began with the dinner, where they chowed down on meatballs, lasagna, Caesar salad, tortellini and bread with an olive oil and herb dip.

Soon afterwards, guests started to feel ‘tingly’ and noticed their hearts ‘racing’.

One said he had ‘crazy thoughts’ while another had to be sedated in the hospital because she was ‘unruly’.

A third guest vomited profusely, police said.

A woman identified as Melissa Stout said she also came in from Michigan. After feeling buzzed from a couple of drinks, she ate some food to stop herself from becoming too intoxicated.

By the time police arrived, employees of Bryant's catering service, 'Joycelyn's Southern Kitchen,' were fleeing into their vehicles and away from the venue. Bryant is pictured here in a promotional photo

She had Caesar salad, a pasta with white sauce and bread with herb dip, according to authorities.

‘After eating the food, she felt much worse,’ deputies say.

She ‘didn’t notice anyone else getting sick as she was on her hands and knees throwing up.’

Every guest tested for cannabis showed positive results, according to the arrest warrant, and none who were interviewed by police said they knew their food had been laced with marijuana.

Each said they would prosecute whoever tampered with the menu.

Guests told how the bride nodded and ‘acted as if she’d given them a gift’ when they asked her if there were drugs in the food.
