Bomb’s away! Emily Ward bawls her eyes out following her eviction from Love Island Australia

Emily Ward was left in tears after being eliminated from Love Island Australia. 

The 24-year-old content creator was left stunned when host Sophie Monk revealed she had the least amount of votes and would be sent packing on Thursday’s episode.

‘The girl with the least amount of votes is Emily,’ she announced. 

‘Emily, sweetie, you’ve been amazing, and you certainly made your mark,’ Monk said.

Fellow contestant Tina Provis proceeded to shout out enthusiastically: ‘Best bomb ever!’ 

Before she left, Monk asked Emily if she had enjoyed her experience.

‘Oh yeah, a really, really great experience. All of these amazing people, all these strong couples develop, to be a part of all of this, and I’m excited for all of you.’ 

Emily then told her on-screen partner Taku that she would ‘see him on the outside’.

As she left the building, she burst into tears and said Taku was the person she was ‘most excited to get in here and meet’ and added that he made her ‘feel amazing’.

Emily’s elimination comes after web content publisher Ari Kumar – who earlier criticised the bombshell brunette – was dumped on Wednesday night.

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, the 25-year-old admitted she was ‘devastated’ to have been booted off following a vote by the male islanders, after failing to find love in the villa.

She also said it was ‘gut-wrenching’ to have to watch her original partner, Ryan Reid, move on with bombshell Lexy Thornberry in front of her face – despite the pair sharing the show’s first-ever kiss days prior.

‘When I was dumped [from the villa] I was devastated. It was a little bit unexpected, just because I have strong connections with everyone in there,’ she said. 

Discussing how Ryan moved on so quickly with Lexy, she added: ‘It was definitely a new experience – usually you would just delete someone and not have to see what they’re doing on social media and all that.   

‘In this case, it was almost like I had front row seats to what he was doing and who he was cracking on with. It was gut-wrenching seeing all that.

‘Eventually I had to just be honest with everyone and opened up about how I was feeling – it was just a weight off my shoulders when I told everyone I wasn’t over Ryan.

‘It made me feel better knowing that it was never going to work with him – but I was just honest about what I was feeling.’

Ari, ironically, said that she didn’t believe Emily was being genuine when she was on Love Island.
