Bondi Rescue star Andrew Reid reveals why he made the shock move to leave the famous beach for good
Bondi Rescue star Andrew Reid has revealed the reason why he decided to move away from Australia’s famous beach.
The lifeguard and his family recently relocated from Bondi Beach to the regional city of Lake Macquarie.
Andrew told News.com.au, he made the decision to move to be closer to his family and enjoy a ‘simpler life’.

‘We thought we would move up here to be closer to family and then see what happens,’ he explained.
‘It’s been great to get away and live a simpler life.’
Andrew went on to say he loves his job as a lifeguard and enjoys filming the popular TV series.

‘I love being a lifeguard and I love being part of the show,’ he said.
‘I’m so lucky to have had the experiences I’ve had and made the friends I have,’ he added.

In October last year, the couple announced they’re expecting to welcome their third child together.
‘What else was there to do in lockdown… 3rd instalment due 22/2/22,’ Andrew wrote.
As well as being a lifeguard on Bondi Beach, Andrew is also an ambassador for Giant bicycles Australia, Athletic Greens, Ineos Grenadier and Garmin.
