The shattered father of a man stabbed to death in a Bondi apartment after an alleged dispute over a love-triangle has told of his heartache at his son’s ‘senseless murder’.
Jordan Byrne, 26, was rushed to hospital after allegedly being stabbed by Milo Manu Felix Wild – a man known to him – in a friend’s apartment about 12.30am on Sunday.
Mr Byrne was rushed by ambulance to hospital but died during surgery.
His heartbroken father Colum Byrne said he knew something terrible had happened when the phone rang early and it was the police.

‘Me and Deborah (his mother) just got that horrible phone call at 5am in the morning, the one that no parent should ever get,’ Mr Byrne’s father told Daily Mail Australia.
‘They just said he’d been attacked in Sydney and that he’d had surgery but they couldn’t save him.’
Mr Byrne’s alleged murderer Milo Manu Felix Wild, 27, faced Waverley Local Court on Monday morning where he was refused bail.
Police reportedly believe Mr Byrne was murdered by Wild after a dispute over a girl who they had both dated.
But the murdered man’s father said he had been told by police his son was a victim and had in no way sparked the dispute, with officers calling it a ‘senseless murder’.
Mr Byrne’s father said after school his son had left his hometown on the NSW Central Coast and moved to Sydney, chasing his dream of becoming a crane driver.
In a few short years he established a successful career working on construction sites across the city and saved up enough to purchase three investment properties.
One of four children, Mr Byrne’s father said his son was living his dream right next to the beach – but never forgot his family or where he came from.

‘He was a kind loving kid who everyone loved. Everybody knew Jordan, he was truly the funniest kid you’ll ever come across,’ Colum Byrne said.
‘He was a normal kid in his 20s, but he’d just accomplished so much. He was making plenty of money, he had apartments in Merrylands, Hillsdale and Bondi – he was our absolute pride and joy.
‘He would come up and see us and tell us how good of parents we were – he never forgot us or his siblings.
‘He was only 26 and he was on fire in life and I would just really like to share that with people.’

Neighbours in the apartment complex reportedly heard the two men arguing loudly and told The Daily Telegraph they expected police to be called immediately.
‘I heard someone in the block yell out ‘shut up’ but the argument kept going,’ a man said.
Investigations into the alleged murder are continuing, with police reportedly set to re-interview the two women in the apartment at the time.
