Boris Johnson donned traditional Sikh headwear and sampled traditional cuisine while visiting a temple in London today.

While on the campaign trail, Mr Johnson visited the Gurdwara Sri Guru Sabha Sikh Temple in Southall, London.

The Prime Minister wore an orange Patka during the visit, a traditional head covering favoured by Sikh youths.

Last night, opinion polls showed Mr Johnson’s Conservative Party has the highest level of support since 2017 ahead of next month’s election. 

The December 12 election was called to break the deadlock over Brexit, more than three years after the country voted narrowly in favour of leaving the EU in a 2016 referendum.

Mr Johnson hopes to win a majority to push through the last-minute Brexit deal he struck with the EU last month.
