Boss Burger selling world’s best-selling Tommy Chook chicken burger via Deliveroo Australia for $5

Australians can now order the world’s best-selling chicken burger for just $5.

Tommy the Chook from Geelong’s burger joint Boss Burger Co was crowned the number one dish in Australia and the best-selling chicken burger in the world.

And to get a taste of the iconic burger for a fraction of the price, customers can order the meal which comes with a southern fried chicken, cheese, slaw and sriracha mayo – for just $5 via the Deliveroo app.

If you fancy beef, diners can get the epic ‘The Boss’ burger for $5, which consists of a beef patty, lettuce, cheese, tomato, pickles, ketchup and the signature boss sauce.

But you will have to be quick because the offer runs between 12pm and 2pm for three days only – from Wednesday to Friday.

To celebrate the opening of its new Collingwood restaurant, the burger offer is available to Melbourne customers only.

Diners are required to look out for Boss Burger on the Deliveroo app, which is available exclusively from Deliveroo Editions (Collingwood). 

‘Boss Burger is easily the most exciting addition to the Melbourne burger scene this year,’ Tim Talbot from Deliveroo Editions said.

In December 2019, Boss Burger found itself on the map after its Tommy the Chook burger was number six in Deliveroo’s top 100 most ordered dishes across the world.

The burger, which normally costs $13.50, was also named in the top 10 best-selling dishes in Australia in 2019.

Fans of the burger have long raved about the creation on social media.

‘Southern fried chicken. Cheese. Slaw. Sriracha mayo. Four ingredients. It’s just that simple. A super crunchy coated piece of moist chicken, a bit of melted cheese, some salad thrown in for “health” and a creamy, spicy mayo. Done,’ one man wrote.

‘Every flavour did it’s part and the ratio was spot on. This is one burger you really need to experience for yourself.’

Another foodie said he added a piece of bacon to the ‘dream’ burger.

‘This crunchy AF chook is aptly named Tommy the Chook. I kept it to one piece of southern fried chicken, but added bacon. And it was perfect,’ he wrote. 

‘The slaw is fresh and zingy and the sriracha mayo has a kung fu flying kick like a character from Street Fighter.’
