Adrien Broner was arrested for misdemeanor sexual assault in an Atlanta mall on Monday
Boxer Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner has been arrested at an Atlanta shopping center and charged with misdemeanor sexual battery.
According to TMZ sports, the former four-weight world champion was taken into custody on Monday after a woman claimed Broner ‘inappropriately groped her.’ The 28-year-old Cincinnati native has denied the allegation.
He was booked at Fulton County Jail on Monday and was reportedly scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
Video of the incident at the Lenox Square shopping center shows Broner arguing with a woman among a small group of people. And while the exact moment of the arrest was not shown, Broner was recorded being led out of the mall in handcuffs.
This is not the first time Broner has been in trouble with the law.

The current welterweight, who started his career with 26 straight wins, was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly choking a waitress in Las Vegas back in 2016.
Last year he was arrested for missing a court appearance connected to a 2014 disorderly conduct and public intoxication arrest. During that arrest, police noticed that Broner’s SUV had several bullet holes around the exterior.
In October 2016, Broner scared his fans with some alarming Instagram posts that seemed to hint he was considering suicide.
Back in September, Broner was recorded knocking a man out and shoving a woman in Las Vegas.

Moments before the incident, the 28-year-old boxer was calm while signing autographs and taking photos with fans near the MGM hotel on The Strip.
Video first obtained by TMZ shows Broner becoming upset, but it’s unclear why.
A woman attempted to calm him down, but he responded by shoving her.
Broner then punched a man who was nearby, knocking him unconscious and sending him straight to the ground.
Security then appeared on the scene trying to speak with Broner, but they let him go, TMZ reported.
It’s unclear what led to the incident or if Broner knew the man.
Broner, who is promoted by Floyd Mayweather Jr., is currently 33-3 with 24 knockouts and one no-decision. He’s scheduled to face Omar Figueroa Jr. in April after losing a unanimous decision to Mikey Garcia in Brooklyn back in July.
