  •  Boxing great still works out daily
  •  Showcased his age-defying physique

Four-time boxing world champion Danny Green has proved he still looks every inch the athlete at age 50 after sharing workout photos of himself to social media on Thursday.

The retired pug, who has won 33 of his 38 professional fights in the ring, hasn’t been idle since hanging up the gloves and, if his age-defying physique is anything to go by, still takes his physical fitness very seriously.

Green posted several shirtless shots of himself to Instagram while doing dips this week, alongside the comment: ‘Life begins at 50. Dips. Mad way to stay strong.’

The West Aussie posts regularly to social media, often doing workouts he has designed for his chain of UBX (pronounced ‘you box’) gyms.

‘I’ve designed the workouts to mirror what I did when I was fighting for world titles,’ he wrote.

‘Boxing training complimented with strength and conditioning exercises functional to the sport of boxing.

‘It’s designed so anyone and everyone, no matter what your fitness level is, can enjoy it and achieve their own personal goals.’

A typical workout consists of 12 rounds of boxing and strength training – six rounds doing boxing exercises and six rounds doing varied strength and conditioning exercises.

Green, who exercises year round with his workout routines, also believes that a fit body helps maintain a fit mind.

‘Even on holidays, pushing my body is what drives me and keeps my mind strong,’ says Green.

‘I’ve been training hard since I was 13 years old. No bulls**t. No gimmicks. Just push yourself, no matter what your ability or fitness levels.’

His impressive photos haven’t gone unnoticed online.
