A 13-year-old boy was charged with assault after firing a McDonald’s chip through a straw at someone’s face.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, used the straw to launch the chip at a young woman’s head, prosecutors alleged.
The row resulted in three of his friends clashing with four young women outside the McDonald’s at the Broadway shopping centre in Hammersmith, west London.
He was arrested and prosecutors took months to build up a case against him, which his mother rubbished by saying he was aiming it at a friend, The Sun reports.
