Boy 9 found safe and well after desperate search

A desperate search has been called off for a 9-year-old Sydney boy after he was located safe and well.

Mario Caruso is being reunited with his parents after he was found at Burnt Bridge Deviation in Balgowlah just before 12pm on Saturday. 

The boy who has an intellectual disability had been missing since Friday afternoon.

A desperate search is underway for Mario Caruso who has an intellectual disability and was reported missing on Friday afternoon 

He was last seen in Cross Street in Balgowlah at Northern Beaches around 4.30pm before his disappearance was reported to police.

An appeal was put out for public assistance to help locate the missing boy.

Mario’s family and officers were seriously concerned for his welfare as he has a mild intellectual disability.

Police have thanked the public and media for their assistance.
