  • He and his mother Charlotte, 41, both consider the figure their lucky number

A boy born on November 11, 2011 – at 11.11am – is today turning 11-years-old.

Daniel Saunders, who was originally due to be born six days later, has dubbed the double-digit figure his lucky charm.

The young boy from Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, is also set to receive 11 presents to mark the momentous festivities.

‘I’ve been looking forward to this birthday a lot,’ Daniel gushed. ‘It’s more exciting than any other birthday has ever been.’

He has also explained that the figure is a ‘master number in numerology’ – a belief system which ties numbers to the divine and mystical – and bears good fortune and ‘future potential’ for the boy.

According to Numerology.com, it is also tied to a ‘higher source of wisdom’ – and is ‘intuitive to the point of being psychic’.

‘It’s my lucky number and it’s easy to remember,’ he added. ‘Nobody ever forgets my birthday!’

His mother Charlotte, 41, has also found 11 to be a lucky number since she was in primary school – hence making her son’s birthday that much more ‘special’.

Daniel was due to be born on November 17 in 2011- but a week before, Charlotte was told he was in an awkward position.

Doctors tried to move him but couldn’t, so they booked in a C-section on November 11.

Daniel’s birth was was then delayed on the day – when the family arrived at 6am – because he was positioned under Charlotte’s ribs – so the surgeons took longer than expected to get him out.

‘He’d have been out earlier but he got stuck under my ribs and they took a while maneuvering him out,’ the mother explained.  ‘It’s amazing that he was born with all those 11s.’

Charlotte admitted that it also makes Remembrance Day ‘more special’.

‘You think back to the war and all those relatives that were lost, so you have an extra moment,’ she revealed.

Daniel still has the poppy that was placed with him the day he was born at Addenbrookes Hospital.

His father Jason, 42, who runs a grounds maintenance firm, is excited to celebrate the ‘very important day’.

‘The doctor said there was no chance he would be born at 11.11 but I think he was clinging on to his mum’s rib cage,’ he joked. ‘A lot of people use their birthday for their PIN number – but he’s pretty stuck on that one!’

Daniel, a right winger, is playing football on his birthday before having a pizza party with his pals and sister Grace, 14.

‘We’ll be hoping for eleven goals at football today,’ Charlotte quipped.
