This is the amusing moment a boy climbs into a claw machine and gets stuck.

The naughty child had tried to steal toys from the machine in Longyi, Guizhou province, China and had to be rescued by police on September 7.

It was later revealed that the boy had entered the machine through a one-way door that did not open when he tried to escape.

He tries to fiddle with the machine in the hope it opens

The footage posted online shows the boy, reported to be around eight years old, standing in an arcade claw machine in China’s Guizhou province.

Police officers can be seen around him, trying to work out how to get the child out of the machine.

The three officers at the scene look incredibly puzzled.

The child pulls at the claw as if hoping the machine will open there.

After some time, the footage cuts to the officers pulling the child out of the claw machine.

The glass of the machine is broken and a hammer is by its side.

The boy told officers that he entered the machine through the opening at a corner of the machine where the toys are dispensed. The door is one way, so he was not able to get out of the machine when he tried.

Many people have commented on the story on social media site Weibo.

One user wrote: ‘Break the glass and save the child no problem. Parents please compensate the machine for the glass.’

While another said: ‘How did he get in?’

And one user commented: ‘Is it possible to put in a few coins and catch him out?’
