Sunday night’s premiere of the singing reality series, saw Boy George compare his illustrious career to 33-year-old Delta’s.

Dressed in an abstract shirt, navy blazer and blue fedora, the Karma Chameleon chart-topper tried to convince a contestant to choose him over Delta, as a coach.

Delta, who looked glamorous in a plunging black lace frock, remained silent, but looked far from impressed.

Viewers took to Twitter, picking up on the less than positive vibes, with one writing: ‘Boy George shading Delta Goodrem with the line “I’m famous all over the world” is my greatest kink.’

Another followed with: ‘The only part of #TheVoiceAu I want to watch is the part where Boy George tells Delta she’s only a small fish,’ alongside a series of laughing face emojis.

While one stated that beef between the judges is not needed: ‘I don’t like that Boy George has just decided to have beef with Delta for no reason. I love him but he has a need for drama now Seal is gone that just makes no sense.’

While a feud between Boy George and Delta may be brewing, the Born To Try songstress has support in Kelly Rowland.

The former Destiny’s Child singer, who is also a judge on The Voice, said in Sunday’s The Daily Telegraph, that Delta’s haters need to ‘get over it.’

‘Somebody was telling me about ‘tall poppy syndrome’ and I wondered, “Is that it?” And if it is, well get over it,’ Kelly, 37, told the publication.

‘Somebody has to hush them [critics] up, because it’s not the time for that…it’s the time to continue to watch her be great; to support that talent and water it and put the best soil into it. Treat it with respect,’ she continued.
