Boy orphaned after horror crash near Swansea

  • The crash happened at around 3.15am on Saturday, in Trebanos, Swansea
  • The car was travelling south towards Clydach when it lost control and crashed
  • The baby in the back of the car suffered non-life threatening injuries

Two people have died and a baby was left injured after a car crash near Swansea.

A 23-year-old man, who was driving a black Peugeot 206, and an 18-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the front seat, both died from their injuries in the crash at around 3.15am on Saturday, November 4 on Swansea Road in Trebanos, Swansea.

Police said they were both local to the area.

The car was travelling south towards Clydach when it lost control and crashed into a lamppost.

An 11-month-old baby in the back of the car also suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

South Wales Police said Roads Policing Family Liaison trained officers are supporting the families.

South Wales Police Roads Policing Department are now appealing for witnesses to the collision or the manner of driving of the vehicle.
