Boy seriously injured after car hits three pedestrians near Melbourne Narre Warren primary school

A five-year-old boy has been rushed hospital after a car hit three pedestrians near a primary school.

The young boy and two women were struck on Maramba Drive near Westfield Fountain Gate in Narre Warren, south-east Melbourne.

The female driver of the vehicle stopped to help after the incident, which occurred just before 9am on Wednesday.

The boy was flown to Royal Children’s Hospital with serious head and leg injuries after being treated at the scene by paramedics.

A 79-year-old woman was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition, while a woman in her 30s was assessed at the scene.

The incident occurred near a primary school around school drop off, The Herald Sun reported.

The cause of the collision is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
