Boyfriend guilty of murdering TV attorney Loredana Nesci

The man accused of killing a celebrity television attorney has been found guilty for her killing.

Robert Brian Reagan, 53, was found guilty Friday of second-degree murder for stabbing his former girlfriend Loredana Nesci, 47, to death in July 2015.

Nesci, a former Los Angeles Police officer turned lawyer starred in the Sundance Channel show Loredana, Esq.

According to Reagan’s attorney, Shephard Kopp, Reagan acted in self-defense after Nesci pulled a hunting knife on Reagan during an argument at their home in Redondo Beach, California.

‘While defending himself against her assault with a deadly weapon, [Reagan] tried to disarm her, and in the intense struggle that ensued she tragically suffered a fatal wound,’ Kopp said, according to Variety.

‘While [Reagan] is not guilty of committing any criminal offense, he is devastated by this horrible event.’ 

Reagan could face 16 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on September 19.

According to reports at the time, Reagan was ‘distraught’ when he called 911 to report an emergency on the morning of July 22, 2015.

Reagan was arrested after officers discovered his former girlfriend’s body.

The two had a five-year-old son, Rocco Nesci-Reagan, who was not at home at the time of the incident, police said.

According to a biography on her website, Nesci moved to California where she began her legal career as a Los Angeles police officer in 1996.

In 1998 she left to attend law school before going to work at Spinella & Associates, PC in Hamden, Connecticut.

She expanded the firm’s practice to include entertainment law, a division that she ran.

In 2003, she joined Cadden, Ivers & Ivers, a popular boutique firm in Meriden, Connecticut.

During her time at the company, the Connecticut Law Tribune wrote a feature article on her as a legal personality and dubbed her ‘The Legal Diva.’

In 2004, The Legal Diva returned to California and opened up shop under her own name and has grown her brand exponentially.

Nesci’s career took a different turn in the latter part of December 2008, when she was offered to host her own radio show on the local California radio station, KCAA 1050 AM.

Then in 2013 the Sundance Channel produced and aired a non-fiction television show called, ‘Loredana, Esq.’, which ran for a season.
