Brandi Cyrus praises ‘unapologetic’ mother Tish after marriage to Dominic Purcell who once ‘dated’ matriarch’s daughter Noah: ‘I love that for her’

Brandi Cyrus remains grateful amid the rumored family drama between mother Tish and younger sister Noah.

As the Your Favorite Thing podcast host, 36, appeared at Sunday’s CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas, she praised her ‘unapologetic’ mother, 56, who recently tied the knot with Noah’s rumored ex Dominic Purcell.

‘My mom is in this era of really being unapologetic about who she is and what she’s about,’ said Brandi on the red carpet, according to E! News.

‘And I love that for her,’ she added. ‘She has been so supportive of all of us. She’s really the backbone of the family.’ 

Brandi continued, ‘She co-manages Miley and Noah, and for her to be in the limelight a little bit and for people to see the star that is Tish Cyrus makes me happy.’

Tish, 56, tied the knot with Purcell, 54, in an intimate Malibu ceremony last August, with Miley, 31, as her maid of honor

Although she didn’t directly address the rumored drama, Brandi appeared to remain neutral, expressing her support for all her family.

‘At the end of the day, your family’s what you have and your family is what matters, and those relationships are more important than anything to us,’ said Brandi, who co-hosts the Sorry We’re Stoned podcast with her mom.

Daughter Noah, 24, and son Braison Cyrus, 29, were notably absent from the nuptials, sparking speculation of a feud at the time.

In February, reports surfaced that Noah was dating Purcell when Tish ‘started pursuing him,’ and she ‘was aware’ he was with her daughter.

‘The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think],’ a source told Us Weekly. ‘Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.’

Another source has since told DailyMail.com that Noah fabricated the story about dating Purcell.

‘Noah never dated Dominic and they were not together,’ said the insider. ‘She is delusional to think otherwise and is trying to create a narrative that will paint her as a victim.’

Noah announced her engagement to German fashion designer Pinkus in June 2023. 

Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus previously got divorced in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage.

In addition to Miley, Brandi, Noah and Braison, the exes also share son Trace Cyrus, 35.
