Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby’s recent Roberta Flack tribute failed to impress fans.

The 36-year-old reality television personality — who finalized her divorce in February — appeared on Fox 5 DC on Thursday, where she covered the late Flack’s 1973 hit Killing Me Softly With His Song.

Per an Instagram caption shared by the outlet, Darby’s performance was meant to promote her ‘first exhibition at the legendary Mr. Henry’s in Southeast, DC’ on Saturday.

Fans did not hide their disdain at the subpar rendition, with one person writing online, ‘Killing me softly, indeed.’

Another person likened Ashley’s delivery of the tune to ‘karaoke vibes.’

Someone else wrote that the performance was simply ‘terrible.’

Darby’s attempt at the musical number comes weeks after legendary singer Roberta died at the age of 88 in February.

A social media user with the Instagram handle @6411niecy added to a thread, ‘I just cringe every time this shows up on my feed. I wish someone would take it down.

‘I know Roberta has ear muffs on in heaven after this catastrophic performance.’

There was also a comment that read: ‘I know in her mind she was killing it and that’s just where this performance should have stayed.’

Another unforgiving viewer added, ‘The poor band was confused,’ along with a string of crying laughing emoji.

‘Who approved this?’ someone else demanded to know.

A different person referenced another former housewife with a lackluster music career, joking, ‘She took lessons from Kim Zolciak.’

Despite the internet backlash from her off-pitch iteration of the famous song, Ashley gave it another go on Saturday night.

On Sunday she defiantly shared footage from the show, during which she also covered Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, Corinne Bailey Rae’s Put Your Records On, and Beyonce’s 2002 song Work It Out.

The mother-of-two finalized her divorce from Michal Darby earlier this year, after initially filing to end the marriage last November.

It came more than two years after she separated from her ex-husband, with whom she shares sons Dean, five, and Dylan, four.

Following her separation announcement, she moved out of the home she shared with Michael and began seeing Luke Gulbranson of Summer House fame at the end of 2022.
