Brawl breaks out before ‘bouncers’ join in the fight

A mass brawl which broke out in Liverpool’s Concert Square show the sickening moment a man cracks his head on the pavement after seemingly going to break up the fight.

Mobile phone filmed at the scene on Saturday night appears to show punches being thrown between the warring group of men – and appears to show a number of bouncers joining in the fight themselves.

A man in a white shirt rushes over to the group of men who were already fighting, but he is rocked with a vicious blow and crashes to the ground where an audible crack is heard when he hits the pavement.

The fighting seemingly calms down as the attention turns to the injured man on the floor, with some using it as an opportunity to escape the scene.

A brawl erupted outside Liverpool’s Concert Square on Saturday with punches being thrown between a group of men

Men wearing high visibility jackets then march in towards the man as he is given medical attention.

Jade Hughes said she was on a night-out for her sister’s 18th birthday when the brawl kicked-off.

The 21-year-old told the Liverpool Echo: ‘I was sat with my sister and mum, and we were outside a bar having a drink.

‘I saw a group of lads running way from some bouncers, who came from all over the place, and there was a lot of screaming and shouting.

‘We could hear the crack (of his head on the pavement).

‘Afterwards, his face was covered in blood.’

It is unclear whether the men, who appear to be bouncers, were working on the night.

Ms Hughes added: ‘It was frightening to witness up close. I’m from Chester and we came to Liverpool as it’s a good night out.

‘This was scary, though.’
